This is the necessary information about JEE Mains, and the exam is getting tougher each year, so if you want to crack one of the most coveted exams in the country, you need to have one hell of a preparation strategy.

The basic strategy overview for this exam is time management, covering topics and chapters with more weightage, revision at regular intervals, mock test, etc. But there is a lot more which you might miss hence we have brought you a detailed JEE Preparation Strategy. JEE aspirants should take a good look at this and try to incorporate it to make JEE Mains a little bit easy.

Set your goals:

This is one of the first things you need to do. You have to decide which IIT you wanna get in and prepare a level further than it. But remember to have realistic goals, you can’t set a goal to learn entire inorganic chemistry within a week. Hence, you need to be true to your potential and try to push forward step by step to achieve your target.

Time Management:

I am sorry to break this out to you, but you have to cut all ties with the people around you and your hobbies for almost two years. Prepare a timetable with less hectic to start on and then tighten the schedule as you move on. My bet is to ask a senior on what to do and when to do as they had the best idea on how to manage time.

JEE preparation books :

You need to study from the right books to prepare for JEE Mains. Going over mediocre questions won’t help you and only discourage you when you appear in a mock test. Hence, you need to find the level of books suited for your goal and work on them. You can also get materials from coaching centre which are always a plus. But if are looking for more materials, then here are some best books for JEE preparation:

Study topic wise:

JEE Mains always release a pattern of their exam with weightage of each section. It is quite possible some topic would be hard. So, if a chapter is too tough instead of wasting time on it, try to perfect other topics. But remember to leave some leeway for yourself as a part of JEE preparation tips.

Learn a topic thoroughly:

By learning, we mean to understand the concept and not shove formula in your mind. Once you complete a topic or a chapter from all the material available, go through previous years, questions from the topic. If you can solve them from ease, then you don’t need any more preparation but if not then work again. Don’t be stressed much about a topic.

Prepare short notes or flashcards:

Each time you finish a topic, prepare a short note or flashcards, which would be helpful to revise later before the exam. This could be anything which reminds you of the topic. But it should be self-made, otherwise, it won’t help much. As they would cover things, you forget easily and is a good JEE preparation tip.

Revision:

JEE Mains has a vast syllabus, and you would quite easily forget the things you learned earlier if you don’t read them again and again, so revising previous topics through your notes is vital and boost your confidence. So, always keep time for revision.

Mock Test:

This is very important to know if your hard work is actually paying off or not. Taking it with all seriousness like an exam and revise properly, and it will also bring out any problem you have while writing the exam.

Eat and sleep well:

You need to sleep and eat well to keep your body fit as you have to do this for a long time. If you are unfit, you won’t be able to give you all and not able to retain things as well.
