What Is JEE Advanced?

You might already have a little knowledge about JEE Advanced but what we would like to first tell you is that it is one of the toughest entrance exams to enter into the engineering arsenal. Do you know more than 2.25 lakhs students appear for this entrance exam every year and out of these only 20,000 top students from the country get admissions in the top engineering colleges of India.

JEE stands for Joint Entrance Exam and it is conducted every year in two stages:

  • JEE Main

  • JEE Advanced

The second stage of the Joint Entrance Exam is JEE Advanced. This simply means that you need to clear the JEE Main to get an opportunity to appear for JEE Advanced. This is one robust examination that will open your doors for various graduate programmes in IITs. JEE 2019 is supposed to be conducted by IIT Roorkee and the revised date for the exam is May 27, 2019. This examination is conducted every year under the guidance of the Joint Admission Board by the seven zonal coordination IITs.

This year the competition is to secure an admission in any of the top 23 listed engineering colleges for 12, 428 seats. From 2018, IITs have provided some percentage of reservation for the girl’s candidates.
