What is MH-CET?

MHT – CET that is Maharashtra Common Entrance Test is conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Mumbai for the admissions to the first year Engineering and Technology programmes (BE/BTech) and Pharmacy programmes (BPharma/ DPharma) in the state. Being one of the largest exams, more than 3 lakh+ applicants appear for the MHT – CET Exam every year.

  • Info Engg. Batch (Boards + MHT – CET): It is a 2 ½ years program which includes the state board curriculum along with MHT – CET (PCM) coaching.
  • Info Medical Batch (Boards + MHT – CET): It is a 2 ½ years program which includes the state board curriculum along with MHT – CET (PCB) coaching.

This year, the examination will be conducted at various centres across the Maharashtra and outside Maharashtra State by Online mode (Computer Based Test) tentatively from 13rd April, 2020 to 17th April, 2020 and 20th April, 2020 to 23 April, 2020 for PCM and PCB group separately. Candidates will be allotted seats in the different colleges of Maharashtra on the basis of candidates’ results in MHT-CET 2020.

MHT-CET 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for MHT-CET 2023 should check the detailed eligibility criteria as specified by the Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra. The eligibility criteria for MHT-CET is given below:

Nationality

Candidate must be a citizen of India.

Age Limit

There is no age limit for the candidates

Qualifying Examination

Candidate must have passed HSC/Class XII exam or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with any one of the subjects – Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical/Vocational subjects. Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination (HSC/XII) in 2023 are considered eligible.

Marks Required

General category candidates should have secured minimum 50% aggregate marks in 12th standard examination & 45% for SC/ ST/ OBC candidates.

Note: Female candidates are not eligible for a mining engineering course.

Steps to apply for MHT-CET 2023

Candidates who wish to participate in the examination and admission process will be required to submit the filled application form last by February 29 or with late fees, up to March 7, 2023. The application process includes registration, form fill-up, documentation, Fee payment and form print out. Here is a step-by-step guide to make your application process smooth and quick:

Registration

:

Candidate will first have to register for MHT-CET 2023 . You will have to enter details such as email ID, mobile number, name, date of birth, gender, username and password to complete the MHT-CET registration.

MHT-CET Application Form Fill-Up

:

Once the registration of MHT-CET is complete, candidates will have to log in and fill the application form of MHT-CET with contact, qualifying exam and other details. The preferred exam subjects, language, facilities and district preferences also have to be submitted.

Image Upload

:

The scanned images of the candidate's photograph and signature, valid photo ID as per the specifications mentioned by the authorities has to be uploaded.

Fee Payment

:

Candidates will have to make a fee payment through online (credit card/debit card/IMPS/net banking/cash cards/mobile wallets) only.

Print Out of Application Form

:

Finally, the candidates have to take a print out of the submitted application form for future use.

MHT-CET 2023 Exam Pattern

MHT-CET will be conducted in two groups i.e. PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) and PCB (Physics, Chemistry and Biology). The question papers are multiple-choice questions (MCQ) having 4 options.
